Monika Siebert is known as one of the foremost original thinking interior/exterior and product designers of Western Canada. She takes interior design to another level. As a designer she was given the gift of knowing how to see to create something in her mind and to transform her vision into a three dimensional work of art. As an artist she controls the medium in which the concept will be realized.
A professional Designer for over 20 years, Monika Siebert’s work has received numerous awards and honors. Having spent the early part of her career in the studio of a Canadian designer she developed design sensitivity and gained practical aspects of design-build integration giving her an “edge” in Interior Design. She is now one of the most-sought after designers in Alberta, Canada. In 1988 Monika opened her own design firm, incorporated in later years as: Monika Siebert Design Planning inc., also known as Monika Inc.
Monika’s travels throughout Canada, USA and Europe still influence her design style, as when she trained as a Interior Designer in the state of Michigan earning her degree in 1981. In addition to her accomplishments as a previous NKBA board member of the Alberta chapter and a listing in “Who’s Who in Interior Design”, the Retailers Association voted Monika Siebert as “ 1997 Artistic Interior Designer of the Year”.
Monika Siebert’s design firm practices in a wide variety of areas: specialty, hospitality and office, restaurant and known for custom residential, evolving over the years to include the technical area’s of kitchen and bath design and custom furniture for smart homes in USA and Canada. Her company has become known for its sophisticated look in design be it in a character or timeless style.
Monika’s public recognition increased dramatically in 1995 when her work was featured in House Beautiful, Kitchen and Bath, and various other PUBLICATIONS in Canada and local Calgary magazines. Monika maintains memberships in many design and professional organizations, contributing her time and expertise and keeping up on the latest in trend-setting design.
